Beko Fridge Heat (Post-Defrost)

Hi all,
we defrosted the 11 year old Beko Fridge/Freezer combo in our rented house for the first time today, and after switching it about 3/4 hours later, within an hour the 'edges' around the freezer door are roasting hot. They're not hot to the point of burning, but they're incredibly warm.
Is this normal??? I've pulled it out, looked at the back, can't see a fan but can't see anything to worry about. Inside is cold and humming as per the norm.
Google's been about as helpful as a North Koren Flag during a South Korean sporting event!
Any help whatsoever appreciated, terrified of leaving the house for fear of fire!

roasting hot sounds a bit to hot but i do know that fridge freezers are often design to have heat around the seal so as to prevent moisture and mould build up on the seal i know my beko fridge freezer that i just bought sais this in the manual. how ever the edges on mine are warm not roasting0

You can check the serial number of your fridge freezer, found inside the fridge compartment, to find out which year the appliance was manufactured. If your model's serial number begins with 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 or 06 you should contact Beko.
Yours is 11 years old please check the model against the above, yours may not be one of them but would hate to have read and run0 -
