Where do people find so many deals?
Without giving away too many trade secrets i have wondered for a while how so many traders pick up so many deals?
do you guys go to boot sales and end of line sales?
or is it from other sources?
Please note i don not want to become a dealer i have just been curious for a while.
I currently use eBay to sell unwanted household goods etc (as we are due to move soon), so i hope people dont see me as any threat!!!

i sell a lot of my unwated household stuff that i have not used for years. It seems to go very well my junk....ahem sorry highly collectable treasures.
I also do sometimes buy to sell on but i pick it up from all over the place, havent got just one source.0 -
I've often wondered this. It's the print cartridges that I wonder about - there are sellers who sell fairly regularly so they can't be their own personal cartridges, and they sell them quite cheaply sometimes.
Oh I would love to know where they get them from.

when i get short of cash i rifle through my entire house!
i am a terrible pack rat so i normally find something someone else might want. ebay has at least limited my former ridiculous spending on, basically, tat. that is, since i started selling i'm a lot more careful with what i buy! i used to be obsessed with hello kitty, it was ridiculous, but sold all my stuff and used it to pay some bills! i know from my own experience and of the (more useful) things i now buy, that you don't necessarily need a 'line' of stock to get started.
the other thing i used to love was plastic religious figures that glow in the dark, so kitsch!
lol! oh dear!0 -
Most power seller's buy from wholesalers or direct from the manufacturer. If you do a search for wholesalers, you will see companies that will sell you goods cheaper for you to sell on. Although alot of companies require minimum spends of £100 or more for orders.0

I also just sell my old junk/treasures, but if I spot something cheap and desirable in a shop I sometimes buy it to sell on. Last year my local WHSmith had a really good book sale with loads of brand new books for 20-50p. I did quite well with that. I sold a couple of 50p childrens' books for £4.99 each. Not a huge profit, but it's a start!0

I agree with Hermia.I'm always looking in shops for cheap items to sell on E-bay for a profit, however big or small.Last year my hubby done really well at it.He bought an AV sender from Currys for £20.Put it on E-bay and sold it for £35.We sold about 15 doing this and cleaned our local currys out of stock!! lol .It never ceases to amaze me that people go mad in the last few minutes when bidding on items and usually end up paying more than buying it from a shop brand new.The key to it is buying items that are appealing to everyone, and buy low and sell high or is it sell high and buy low?? can never remember.....lol....:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
