Buyer not collected item

I sold a childs table & chairs last weekend which is taking up all the room in my hallway.
Ad said collection required in 1 week.
Buyer contacted me and said she would collect Thur at 7pm. She had my address and mobile number. At 7.30 still no show (dog getting very impatient as normally goes out at 7 for his walk) no texts from her but checked email and she had emailed to say she would come Friday at 7 (bit annoyed she didnt text as I do not constantly look at my emails).
Friday night waited in till 7.40 again no show but no email or text this time.
I really do not want to wait in for her again as she has thoroughly pee'd me off. The set only sold for £5 (she hasnt paid) can I just relist it?

I'd drop her the hint that she's caused a little inconvenience (in a polite-ish way) and give her one more chance to pick a date and stick to it, otherwise it will be relisted (and I'd tell her that).
You "could" do whatever you want, there's not much to stop you, but I think it's best to give her one more chance myself.0 -
personally I would phone her, that often gets the attention of a buyer!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I had someone bail out of collecting an item that sold for around £50 recently through no fault of her own to be fair. We cancelled the transaction (so I got the fees back) then I relisted the item. It then sold for over £150 second time round.
Patience rewarded there methinks.0 -
I had these similar happen and just called buyer and then they decide to collect :S0

If you simply re-list the item, you leave yourself wide open to negative feedback and all sorts of other trouble.
1. add her to your blocked bidder list. time wasters are a pain in the butt on ebay.
2. advise her that unless collected by xxpm on whatever-day you will be reclaiming your selling fees from ebay (unpaid item dispute)
3. relist if she doesn't collect or pay, but wait untill the dispute is closed before relisting...
If the item can be dismantled, try and get some boxes and bubblewrap and offer a courier service (i use interparcel) you open your listing up to a much larger buying base that way, and could make a lot more than the £50 -
I'd contact her through ebay, point out that she's missed 2 collections, and ask if she still wants it.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Yes - I'd go for Soo's and PS' options. Don't do anything aggressive, and don't relist it before going through an unpaid item dispute, though."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

hi
i sent her an email telling her I had waited in again for 45mins and that if she didnt pick it up by sun night I was relisting it. Surprise surprise she arrived to collect it. No apology though for wasting my time. She will be going on my blocked bidders list. Ebay is getting to be hard work I have another parcel unpaid this week (seems to be at least one per batch) and have bought a cardi from a shop seller that hasnt turned up, said would send another and wtill waiting for that. I have 3 open cases now. Not sure its worth the hassle sometimes.0
