I always try to give out any vouchers that I wont use I do get some strange looks though!
I remember an old lady in front of me in Somerfield I gave her a £2.00 off £20.00 spend and she tried to give me the £2.00 which I politely refused. Her son then came over to thank me so I gave him the other vouchers I had in my purse - she waved her hand off when she left the shop.0 -

It was such a kind gesture and I still remember it today. I vowed to do the same one day and finally I manged to accomplish it just a few months ago by giving my day pass for the Tube to a cute couple: giving can be just as nice as receiving
I still give away day tickets though! I always give away coupons, school vouchers etc and if I have a voucher (usually O2) for lunch I usually only want the drink so ask the person behind me what sandwich they want. I've never had anyone do the same for me but hey ho!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
i had a £5 off if you spend £40 at tesco and hadn't spent enough. the cashier made up the difference on a gift card0

Apparently this is against the T&Cs. Where I used to live people would put them on the self service machines for others to take up and the staff would take them away if they saw it. Oddly they did let a homeless man sit inside the station selling used day tickets for £1.

Indeed, I've just looked it up in their T&Cs and it is an offence under the Byelaws and the Public Service Vehicle (Conduct of Drivers, Inspectors, Conductors and Passengers) Regulations 1990  well their prices are so high I must say I am not feeling too guilty...0 -
I always buy a pack of ice creams from Iceland (or some such) when at the coast. We are a family of 4 and not many boxes come in 4's. i will alway give the 'spares' away. Why DO people spend £1 per cone when a box of asda cornettos is £1 for 4/6?[/QUOTE]
So glads its not only me the times I have stood outside Iceland giving ice creams away before they melt and hoping not to be arrested:rotfl:0 -

I'll look out for you as my labrador loves eating ice cream and he actually licks the cone like a human0 -

Oooh, the coupon fairy - I've always wanted to meet you!
I too give out coupons if I'm not going to use them in time (although I've never had 6 at once:)) and I pass on parking tickets (although I'm usually dashing back to the car with seconds to spare, so not much use then) and bus tickets.
I once had someone pass on to me their Mr T's money off fuel coupon - I was so surprised (it's not happened before) that although I said thankyou, I mainly just stood there opening and closing my mouth like a goldfish! So I now sort of understand why people look at me like I've gone mad0
