I got a till spit for xxx off £xx spend in sainsbos the other day. I offered it to the fella behind me and he refused. Gawped at me like I was a nutter.

I always buy a pack of ice creams from Iceland (or some such) when at the coast. We are a family of 4 and not many boxes come in 4's. i will alway give the 'spares' away. Why DO people spend £1 per cone when a box of asda cornettos is £1 for 4/6?

Just remembered that when I lived in Canada, the local more downmarket supermarket had a table where people left manufacturers' coupons and people would have a rummage.

    . :(

One of the offices I once worked at, had a table in the entrance & people would bring in their unwanted coupons & leave them for others that could use them - it's such a good idea.

I do, i once gave another Mum a coupon for money off baby food. She was so grateful, apparently she had twins and was struggling.

I try and pass parking tickets on and share mse shopping tips and vouchers. last year when honey shreddies were on offer the £1 vouchers made them free. I gave a family 6 vouchers to use as I was stocking upand had some spare. Also gave loads of dettol ones away. once an elderly couple in front of me had just under £40 of shopping. I gave them the money to put one of my items through to get them a £5 off their next shop and explained the offer. They were so grateful and I got a buzz from helping :)

I always pass coupons on, bus tickets and parking tickets, i let people in front of me if they've got a couple of things in their basket, and when Morrisons had their disney sticker offer on if you spent over a certain amount, i got the stickers, and gave them to parents with kids who just had a couple of things in their baskets.

I had a coupon for £5 off £40 spend at Tesco which runs out tomorrow, my shopping only came to £14 so I gave it to some unsuspecting shopper who was going through another till with a pile of shopping.

I always pass on parking tickets and bus tickets too (when I can).

I once tried to give away some school vouchers from Morrisons, and the first person I asked - I deliberately chose someone with a child - said "no no no", looked at me like I was crazy and quickly hurried off.

The second person I chose was really grateful though.

And I got told off in Debenhams years ago for asking if the person behind me had a Nectar card as "they're not allowed to do that".

As I'd cleared the shelves of Moo UHT semi-skimmed on special offer I thought I had enough and I was in mad rush to get to Waitrose and Sainsbury's as well before OH got home. I did all three supermarkets in 2.5 hrs and my total savings were more than £5 as I got lots of YS organic lamb at Waitrose and some offers at Sainsbos

As a Sainsburys colleague, if I get caught using coupons not issued to me, I will get dismissed. A colleague from our store got dismissed and a few others from other stores nearby have been dismissed.

Though, there is no issue with me giving my coupons to my parents or friends that don't work for Sainsburys. For example, a few weeks back, I purchased £20 of clothing and had a voucher if I spent £20+ on clothing, I would get a coupon for 8p per litre of fuel. Having just filled up c10 days earlier and a tank lasts me 6-8 weeks, I gave it to my friend.
