    Do we know what stores?

    Tia

Sorry, no. Reckon if you find it anywhere in store it would be the same price though.

Question for the diplomatic amongst uswhich isnt me

I need to put something firmly but politely to a neighbour.

There is a hedge which goes right round our front garden as we are semi detached it borders the alleyway on one side a bit across the front & along the border with the neighbours garden.

This is the hedge I was clipping when I tried to chop the end off my finger.

Ignoring who owns the border/fence the fact is this hedge planted by the original owner in the 1930's is on our property it does grow into her garden.

Her "gardener" has today cut the side on her side & the top  its a bit straggly but only about 3ft or 4ft max , its not even straight I'm so annoyed :mad:also the little bit at the end of our garden facing the street.

I want to say that this is our hedge if it needs cutting I will cut it, if she wants to cut the side on her side I want her to speak to me first I dont want it cut when there is the chance of a frost or hacked to death etc, this "gardener" cuts her lawn in winter when its almost waterlogged with an electric mower  its only a pocket hankerchief garden FGS and she wouldnt know a weed if it slapped her in the face

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will come along shortly.

If the hedge or tree goes over to her border she is aloud to cut it if she returns the cuttings ( it's an old law apparently) she should offer it to you anyway. So you probably can't do much about that. Now lopping the top off especially if this is the top that is in your garden isn't on. The bit on the end?? Hmm I'm not sure.

I'm not too good tact wise I would knock on her door or catch her coming home and ask her why she did it and why she hadn't consulted you first. Saying I'm sorry was the hedge growing over or causing an issue? See what she says. If you are worried about her cutting it back harshly and killing it well all I can think of is asking her to ask you when necessary to cut it. So you can be in charge of how it's cut.

I had an accidental dtd today. I bought 3 kids activity books from tesco which were £3 each or on offer at 3 books for £5. Discount didn't come off so went to customer services and was given dtd. I paid £9 and got £8 back so it cost £1 for three activity books.

I bought 2 hello kitty ones and a pirate one. The lady at cs scanned them all and it seems that it is the pirate one that is not actually in the offer even though it has a yellow sticker on it showing that it is included.

Went to another store and they also had the pirate book with the yellow offer sticker on it so got another 3 books there too :)

Also wombled a £4 off £30 till spit so all in all it was a good shopping trip!

Ooh this sounds good, cheaper than buying a magazine for the children - even at 3 for £5.00 is good
