You are, we are, he is, I am, - Arghhhhhhhhh! You is always plural even when referring to a singular!
ahhh, but WE can be singular too ... as in 'we are amused!'I love grammar! :rotfl:
OH well, DD2 just called, failed three out of four AS so will go to careers next week.......lets hope she puts her sensible hat on before then as I want her to be happy but a dozen gcse grades and now thinking of nursery work:(
Don't get me wrong a lovely job but shouldn't she try something a bit more academic first , how should I broach this with her, anyone any ideas???
Don't despair! Think about what she enjoys and is good at. Some people do well at academic things and others don't. A good friend of mine is a cleaner, I am an academic- and I don't think she is any less important or any less happy (or well off!) than I am. Personally I think it is about doing the best that you can with what you are good at and what you love. Ask DD to consider a path that would help her develop into the best whatever (fill in the blank) that she can be. The world wouldn't be anything without the people who build, and cook, and clean, and doctor and music and art and and and... all the colours of the rainbow0 -

Re the East/West thing...
For West I just look in the general direction of which way the sun sets, and for east, vice versa

I know where North is and South
I asked my mum about East and West so we decided Scarborough was East and Blackpool Westthen laughed when we only thought East is out my backdoor and Blackpool front :rotfl::rotfl:
Never Eat Shredded Wheat that doesn't help us.
Hope you soon get your internet/phone working nothing worse than it playing it.
Surely if you know where north (or any one of them is) then the rest are a doddle.
Easiest way to roughly find west is where the sun sets
Edit beaten to it by queen of cheapSomething unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
