Great customer service.

I have a Kindle keyboard purchased from Tesco 17 months ago. It won't charge so I called Amazon support for help. They could not resolve the problem and as they don't do a repair service they offered me 20% off a new Kindle and case.
While deciding what Kindle to go for the guy I spoke to called me back and said he had spoken to his manager and they will replace my Kindle with a Keyboard 3G model FREE OF CHARGE :j:j:j
Am so surprised as the warranty had expired so to have it replaced free is fantastic. :):)

Not many companies offer great customer service but Amazon do..:):)
A complete contrast to Carphone Warehouse where my phone had broken after 8 months and they initially replaced it with a refurbished model that stopped working within a week and I then had to 'fight' for a new replacement.

My question how do I know if my desktop has built in wifi ? its about 4 years old if not I guess I need to buy a wifi dongle is that correct ? I think the TV dongle is Samsung specific.

Its already driving me mad as Netbook From Hell refuses to open any links apart from other problems likw wont open 2nd page of smilies :mad:

BTW congrats on those winning Rick Astley how long can you keep him for ? He's aged well in the clips I've seen recently :cool:

I've just asked the OH and he says it's unlikely to have built-in wifi. He says you can get a USB wifi adapter (or a wifi card but he says the USB thing is easier). I can get more info if you need.

Any chance of some of that pizza MMW but hold the ham & pineapple If there's 2 pizza toppings I can't stand it's those two. Feels a bit weird saying this as I don't know you but glad to hear the toe op went ok today. Please tell me you don't get to keep it as a momento :eek:

Evening all,

For all those anxious parents awaiting tomorrows A level results, just wanted to share my experiences from last year.

My DD was waiting for Birmingham Uni for Dentistry and her insurance was Pharmacy at Liverpool. She was on line at 7.00am and I heard her running downstairs soon after absolutely distraught. UCAS was showing that she had been accepted for Liverpool and she was heartbroken - hysterical to be honest. I felt sick to the core. To cut a long story short, she had logged on too soon before all the results had been posted and she had in fact been accepted at both - and of course chose Birmingham.
Maybe encourage your children to wait until after 8.30 - the time I think when they are all on line.

DS the year before got his 3 A's too and made it into Leeds to do Elec eng. His friend found out just after midnight that he'd been accepted to do dentistry at Leeds. But I think the best advice is to wait as long as they can before looking online.

Thinking about you all. It can change career paths in the blink of an eye but I often think that what will be will be....

I went out visiting today and on the way home drove past an ASD* well, this is a new experience for the masterwombler and me! we could not remember which wine to get- we looked at the 3for £10 rose, was it a sparkiling one we needed? J.P. Cheney??:( can't find the OP??:o
Anyway we wombled about 25 receipts and only 1 was comparable we had 75p:eek::rotfl:
