Good evening everyone. Just had a lovely dinner, gammon (half price form Lidl) with sweet potatoes and asparagus (dead cheap from the market) and a lovely fresh duck egg (one of our customers keeps chickens and ducks, followed by a woopsied GU from Tesco Express up the road
Anyone else had the after dark lemon cheesecake? That was the only downer - could not taste any lemon
Still, was a lovely dinner thoughWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

If he wants to use it for the internet, don't get the standard kindle, it's dreadful for the internet, it's all button clicking and takes forever (no 'mouse' or anything like with a laptop) so I would definitely get the kindle touch.
Alternatively see if you can get your hands on a cheap-ish ipad depending on your budget as this will replace a laptop and a kindle in one swoop, the only difference is the price and that you can't read in direct sunlight but you CAN read in the dark which is what I didn't like about my kindle, hth.
I can recommend the Kobo from WHSmith, especially if anyone's got any vouchers left from the glitch! The Kobo Touch is £79.99 at the mo. Also, you can get e-books out of the library on this one which you can't with a Kindle. Even better moneysaving!0 -
Went to Mr T for a few things, some garlic bread and whoopsie salad.
First time I've been there for about 4 days
Picked up a few receipts, and a 46 & 35 pointer :j I've still got it0 -

I usually zone out when he starts talking about techy stuff as it means nothing to me. I should pay more attention!
So really I'm looking at the £169 Touch then? He goes away on business quite a bit so the 3G one could mean no excuse not to keep in touch outside of texts!
The one I have is not Touch, its just the normal keyboard version. I got it in Tesco a year ago - think it was £150 and paid for with CC vouchers. I did cough up extra cash for the fairly solid case with an inbuilt reading light - needn't have bothered really as the only time I've used the reading light is on an aircraft, otherwise its unnecessary.
The 3G version is a bit more than the normal one but it really is worth it, especially for usae abroad.ELITE 5:2

Asda open until 8 tonight around here.
Wonder if it's worth popping out:)
I was going to, but when I got there it just said £4.98 on SEL - didn't say 3 for 10, so didn't risk it.SPC 2015: #319 £10.65 / £500 Bulgaria tin0 -
