i have had a awful morning. i was woken at 8.15 by shouting/screaming outside. thinking it was kids, i ignored it, then there was alot of barking/growling. so i decided to look out of the window. i so wish i hadnt. 2 staff type dogs, were trying to get a little dog. the onwer of the little dog had picked her up and was trying to keep her out of the way ,the staff were then jumping at the owners legs to try and get to the little dog.

the owners of the staffs got their dogs back inside their homes.

it looks ike the little dog wont make it through the night. as she has too many bite wounds and is in severe shock.:(:(
that owner has had sticthes/glue on her legs.

the police are with the staff owners.

thankfully my son didnt hear/see anything.

The poor thing, that's so sad, but animals can bounce back from the most awful injuries so I hope she's ok :(

I always say in cases like this that the owners are entirely at fault, unfortunately though the dogs are normally put down as a consequence. I think dog ownership is an enormous responsibility and as such you should be legally obliged to attend courses on correct ownership before getting the dog and dog training afterwards.
OMG that is awful. It's a disgrace that some people keep allowing their dogs to roam unleashed. Especially dogs of that nature.
That poor little dog I really hope ht/she makes it.
Going back a good few years I had a German Shepard cross, she was only a little dog though. Her temperament was outstanding. She grew up with my kids. One day I was taking the kids, with the baby in the pram and 2 kids holding on each side. And the dog on the lead. We were only going 100 yards up to my mums. All of a sudden 2 Rottweilers came from no where and grabbed my little dog. I had to let the lead go as I had no choice, I had to protect my kids. Although I still feel guilty to this day for letting the lead go. They dragged her up n down the street till my little dog managed to crawl under a car. We eventually got her out and there was blood everywhere. Took her to the vets where she needed surgery and numerous cuts stitched. She had to stay there 4 nights as it was touch n go. She did make a full recovery. We later found out that the said dogs had been going to the farm and killing the sheep prior to this. We called the police but as far as I know nothing was ever done about the dogs. It's really sad that people have dogs but don't take care of them. My little dog died 8 years later (age13) of cancer. Bless her. She's the best dog we ever had.
A bit off subject now, my little yorky is having pups in 2 weeks. I'm so excited about meeting them. :j

Awwww! I'm so glad your dog was ok, she sounds wonderful!

German Shepherds look terrifying to me, I think it's my perception, but then someone came into a pet shop with a GS puppy that was just fluff with legs and now I just picture her when I find myself getting scared :) I'm always scared of certain breeds after being bitten by a horrid lab cross when I was 9, that dog was pure evil, mind you the owner was probably to blame for not disciplining him
