Hi Mrsfrugal,
Let's look at a simple example using the Crunchy Nut Cornflakes 750g. For every £6 you spend on cereals at T till Sunday, you get a 10p off a litre petrol voucher.
They cost £3.14 in T but £2 in A. Buy 6 packs = £18.84. Edit - typo corrected
Make your basket up to 8 different items, being sure to only add items which aren't cheaper in A or don't compare. PP will give you back £6.84, meaning you have spent £12 on the cereal. This will generate 3 x 10p petrol coupons.
If you put say 50 litres in your car, these will save you £15 off your fuel. (Put as much into your car in this transaction as possible, my husband got 80 odd in his the other day). You can generate up to 5 coupons in one shop and spend up to 5 at a time on fuel, which will knock 50p off a litre, but be aware of the £10 limit on PP and split your shopping into different transactions so as not to fall foul of this.
So, you've spent £12 nett and got 6 large boxes of cereal and saved eg £15 off your petrol. You will also have earned 18 cc points on the above, which are worth up to 76p in rewards, and I like getting the higher throughput on my credit card as we earn rewards on those as well with our bank.
HTH :AMy 2 cent
You say the cereal is cheaper in S and to fill your basket with other items that are not cheaper in A (????). Can you confirm if its A or S the shop should be planned against?
You'll earn more than 18 clubcard points if you also use your clubcard when you pay for the petrol. 50 litres will be more than £60 before discount so thats another 30 points easily or another £1.20 in rewards
:o:o:o
Sorry, my typo, it should of course read A. I've corrected the original post. I was trying to clarify how it worked and just added a layer of confusion!:rotfl: However, importantly, the deal mentioned works, and that's the main thing
. Sorry peeps!

Morning guys
anyone still waiting on a PP back from Tesco, they have now gone over their 24 hour promise on mine?
Also I noticed the big bottles of Ribena are £2 at Asda, £4.89 et al if you needed a filler for your 8 items at tesco0 -

Well, you might remember the delay son numbe rone had going home last time and he finally boarded his plane 3 hours late.
Well its worse this time. He was getting a 10.30 flight last night and we had a few calls 1stly to make sure we would still be OK to pick him up from Manchester airport which would be about 2 this morning - probally nearer 3, all good (normally he catches the train but the trains dont run until about 6  )
Then there was a delay, problems with the plane.
Then they were all herded back off the plane and back itno Arrivals.
Then a couple of hours later we got a text and they had all been sent to a hotel for the night
No news yet this morning. I tried to leave a message on plane companies twitter and facebook but I dont think thye are manned over the weekend. I also checked the webiste and no point in emailing them. Also had a look and the next scheduled flight will be same time tonight although I dont wether everyone who was flying last night will be able to get on that flight.
So fingers crossed as to what happens this morning.
There was a flight going into Birmingham that went off last night on time, I've often said to him why he did not fly into Brum, easier to get trains home in the middle of the night“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I don't usually go to T in the evening but when I went back for my DTD I did a tour of the reduced counters - well it would have been rude not to
Anyway the lovely SA was just reducing the meat by 80% and there was hardly anyone around.
So I got £65 of meat for £13 :j
Including finest rack of lamb - bring back any memories for anyone ? :rotfl:
Only problem is I've never bought it before and have no idea how to cook it. I'd appreciate cooking tips from anyone with experience please0
