Elite 11+ The Olympic GOLD Jibber Jabber Squad

I found a LOT of Double Deckers in a store today. :j No SEL, no reduced sticker, but still scanning 14p
This time they were in a small Olympic Team GB Cadbury bucket at every other till
I bought packs with Olympic wrappers and packs without. It made no difference as the barcode was the same on each type.
I've only seen 14p price tickets for Flakes and Crunchies so far but these buckets have various other cadbury products mixed in. Maybe we should get CS to scan one of each just in case there are other bargains to be had (Dairy Milk, Twirls, Caramels).MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0 -

The two bottles and tumblers would have cost you £2.86 (assuming you actually wanted the Value items used to get to 8 items! Sometimes I see people on here completely forgetting to include these carp 'bulk out' items in their calculations, often making the 'deal' a bit rubbish (like the Coke cans last night - worked out at 21p a can if you included the Value items in the shop. The current regular offer at Tesco works out as 24/25p a can anyway.))
EDITED TO ADD - the Value items are great for bulking out if you actually NEED them and will use them, but I see people on here with more stock cubes than they know what to do with, for instance! That 30p spend then has to go in the calculations for the glitch if buying for the sake of making up the 8 items.
I've composed a little list of things I use that are pretty stable price wise. I'll not use the 1 pack of stock cubes I bought the other day, to me that's not at all mse.MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0 -

We went to asda a few weeks ago and as we approached the doors we could see security waiting outside with a few members of staff. My other half said, looks like there waiting for someone, next we know this scruff man tried to walk straight out the door with a 42" tv in his trolley. I stood there in amazement as they all grabbed him and took him back into the store, and straight into a room. How can anyone think they can just walk straight out of a store with something that size? It's unbelievable. I hope your feeling much better now.
My DH used to be a security guard on the cameras for a centre with a T's attached to the end of it. One day he was asked by T's security if they could look at the footage for outside their shop as the cops needed to get a clear photo of a thief. It turned out the guy had walked out of the shop with at least one other person, both wheeling trollies with huge TVs and a number of the lastest Dysons in them and a T's guy had helped them out to their cars with the stuff :rotfl:
The T's guy was questioned but had stated that neither trolley had alarmed going out of the store and as all their stock was tagged he assumed that they were paid for. It turned out the stuff had all been put into the trollies by the electricals guy to take to CS so that he could put tags into them but he'd reported the trollies gone a few minutes before they had left the store so security had been too busy looking on the cameras to notice them being taken out of the store :rotfl:
They never got the guys as they had no clear images of them but they did change where they put the tags into the electricals and haven't had such a huge loss since.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Just to add to the security thing...
Back in 1999 I worked for T's in Trowbridge and rather amusingly heard that there had been a LOT of thefts of the TVs that were on offer.....
.....because the manager had decided to put them right by the doors and people were just running in, grabbing them (they weren't that heavy or bulky) and running back out! :rotfl:
This was before the advent of the double doors, so funny, I bet the manager was given a right rollocking :rotfl:lesleysanderson wrote: »I know we hear a lot of stories about the nhs. It really is disgusting how some people are treated. Don't get me wrong most nurse/doctors do an excellent job. But something really needs to be done to change the way we as patients are treated. I really hope you hear back soon.
Thanks hun, I won't be holding my breath though :cool:No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023
