??!!! Get back to being MSE and do an appeal letter!!! Templates are on here. If you want me to email you my last "appeal letter" I can.
thanks hun... i might take you up on your offer, but for the moment I think I will leave it
As much as its not very MSE, there comes a point in life where you have to draw a line under certain things to regain a sense of purpose in your life.....for the last couple of weeks I have battled As and Ts over various shopping experiences....and will be ready to do battle with Ts again shortly over their discrimination of gluten free food excluded from the petrol promotion......I just dont think I have the energy to battle with the council over a fine which was duly given as mum been there too long
If we do pay it, I'll take it out of my gains from S/T and A over the last year.....and if we do decide to battle, then I'll be in touch with you for the template!!!! :rotfl:

I have never understood why the shoebox thing is almost always linked to a church. but there's a local church here which runs charity things and they're not in the least bit pressurised, I've been to a couple of things and have mentioned the fact that I'm an agnostic, and this has always been respected.
What I'm saying is while it's fine to heed your warning, it shouldn't put people off. As is normally the case, it's probably a bad few spoiling it for the majority
EDIT: Sorry, misread your post, I thought you were saying the people doing them had to convert not the people receiving them. If what you say is true and some places do this, it's despicable! However hopefully my point about the minority spoiling it is true, the church I mentioned gives things out to the people who need them regardless of religious background.
Indeed they do and that's great. It's the covert evangelising/bribery that I object to, and in the Operation Christmas Child literature, the extent of it is just not spelled out.:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -

Evening all
Apologies but I am about to ask a question that has been asked a million times before....the pizzas....
Is it the Dr Oetker coupons in the cello/non-cello mags that are being taken against any frozen pizza?
I didnt really pay too much attention to it beforeas I didnt think i would need them, but with a 9 year olds birthday party next week I kinda do now

A lot of people are uncomfortable about the CEO's salary of over $1 million per year.
Here is a link to alternatives:

Also I met a hospital volunteer recently that said they are always looking for basic toiletry packs for people who end up in hospital unexpectedly - so toothbrush, toothpaste, flannel, that sort of thing.
I know their salaries are funded by sponsors, but still.MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0 -
