I'm moving back to Blackpool permanently. Have a new job in Preston but basing myself in Blackpool. I love the town, for some bizarre reason!

We'll have to organise a MSE meet somewhere :D

:D and me too - I'm in Fleetwood for a weekend next March :o

A man came home from work and found his 5 children outside, still in their pyjamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden,
The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog, walking in the door, he found ...an even bigger mess.
A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall, In the front room the TV was on loudly with the cartoon channel, the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.
As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pyjamas, reading a novel...
She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went.
He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?'
She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?...
    ''Yes," was his incredulous reply..
She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.’:p

Hope you are ok Markz123. This is something that infuriates me. My dog is autistic and really panics when another dog comes up to him. If he is off the lead he will give such a wide berth to any other dog and will not go near one. It really makes me mad when others let theirs come flying over and when I tell them he is scared of other dogs they do nothing when they can see he is terrified and just laugh. Last year he had an operation and had a buster collar on for 4 months, we were on the park and a greyhound chased him, he was so frightened he ran out of the park and ran home crossing a road on the way:eek::eek:. The couple with the greyhound had only had it 4 days and wondered why it would not return to them. My dog tried to get back to me on numerous occasions but was headed off each time. I have also had issues with young kids in charge of dogs.
We have stopped going to a local nature park because there have been a number of dogs killed by an Akita that is let off the lead on there. Sorry for the long post it just makes me mad:mad::mad::mad:

That brought tears to my eyes:o I can just picture him trying to get back to you:(:(:( Thats the bit that makes me mad, when other people let their dogs come flying over:eek::eek:
We had to look after Alfies niece in an emergency a while back for a few days,She had been in a car accident with her owner(a friend) just round the corner from our house and our friend had to go to hospital and the police had called the dog warden to take her which would have traumatised her even more so we took her with us. When we brought her in Alfie looked at her and ran upstairs to DS's bedroom and stayed there for 2 days till she went home:eek:Went he wanted a wee he ran down the stairs like a whippet and then legged it straight back up:rotfl::rotfl:He just couldnt cope with anther dog in the house, probably because he's so flipping spoilt:oThat totally squashed my thoughts of having another dog:(

Finally got around to calling old John lewis about our TV. Red button stuff just not working and with the Olympics its really starting to get on my nerves.

Usual techniques won't fix it (we've done a few full factory re-sets with help from the manufacturer). Now on Friday we're stuck (well he is) in the house waiting for this engineer to come and take a look at it.

Theory from philips is that a software upgrade will sort it. But other half is hoping that it won't......because its only just within the 5 year warranty. Yes he wants a new one lol. Suppose as its such an old model there is a chance. But we'll only find out sometime on Friday.

Tomorrow we're off to see some family in the afternoon. Will take my bits and pieces with me as there is a Tesco nearby and I'm hoping to get my hands on those Finest Pork Steak / Loin. Knowing my luck they won't have any either!

Baby scan today went well. He's a good size and seems happy in there. Found a bit of blood in my urine though, so got to wait to find out the results of some more checks to see what is going on there. Important thing is splodge is wriggling and happy.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.

We have an oil fired Rayburn - does everything heating / hot water and cooking and I think they are !!!! and expensive !!!! at that.

We are having a solid fuel Rayburn installed, a lot of work, but hopefully it will a lot better than the storage heaters that we've had the past 23 years!!! :)

You should have one of those that hang from the ceiling - got one in my kitchen at work and love it - have clothes hanging from it most nights and all dry by the morning and absolutely fits in perfectly with the rayburn/aga type of kitchen. Also can be picked up quite cheap on ebay .

Glad to see your ok will try and catch up with you when i have a spare five tc xxxx

I know, Ive been tempted to have one of those racks, the only thing Im worried about is now that Im working, Im afraid is if a garment fall's on it while Im out and burns the house down...

Looking forward to it love xxxhugsxxx
