don't know what to say hun, happens all too often in my surgery, drives me mad, and we have label printers but the blasted health care assistants still manage to get it wrong :mad::mad:

defo spk with PM , also worth asking if the lab could still do the hba1c on the last sample

Thanks hun, the diabetic nurse just rang and said they still have the sample (VERY lucky as the blood was taken first thing Thursday morning!) and they're going to ring me tomorrow or Thursday with the result

Without typing a fifteen page character explanation it was a quick way off describing her father's input. I obviously don't describe him in this way to the children.

Just want to say a big thank you RE: the bed wetting and the advice. I must admit it has made me a little upset though because I have done what all suggest. We got her a special bed, character knickers the lot and she was fine. She went 6 months without an accident and then bam, she forgot. She started wetting the bed at night, then sitting in a corner and peeing herself.

She holds it in and then forgets to go. She pees in the car, on the bed, on the sofa, at school, on the carpet, anywhere. And she really stinks with it too. We have had her to the doctors who says the accidents started because of a urine infection. But she's been clear of it for months.

It doesn't help that when she goes down to the sperm donor for visits he slaps her in pull ups 24-7. She has come back this time, bum covered in spots and constantly wanting to wear, and pee and poo, in pull ups.

With 4 other kids the washing machine is on all the time. OH would have to do 5 loads a day to keep up without pull ups.

Even still, with reading all this, what do we do? We keep her in knickers here and she pees 5 times a day. And it stinks. 3volutions all over the house.

    Any advice?!
Have a full day home.. do as you say.. keep her in nics but buy a see through water bottle and try to get her to drink as much water as possible.. ie. drink to this line and you will get a sticker, silver star, coloured star.

The aim is to get her bladder as full as possible so that she feels the urge to pee...

Also wee will be less concentrated and won t smell strong.
reward with a gold star if wees on toilet/potty

Also get her to give her favourite dolly/ teddy pretend drinks and get her to reward teddy when they sit on the potty

    Good luck;)
Dr V - i suggest as above too ^^. do a "reward" chart where she gets a star every time she goes on the potty/loo - or just get a wipe clean board and you can draw a smiley face on each time with a marker. You may have to give her a treat each time (10 mins of fave cartoon, visit to the park etc) then reduce it down to a treat every 3 stars. This has been working wonders for my 3 yr old. When she does a wee, say "well done" but don't go over the top - you want it to be as natural as possible without her feeling it's a huge thing either way. Also, when she goes to the bathroom, you go too and sit on the toilet so she can see you doing it... Best of luck, i know how frustrating it can be.

I totally agree, 12 months of neighbours from hell is driving me crazy. Guy was a convicted drug dealer, people delivering from his home, throwing bottles and lit cigarettes/drug butts out the upstairs windows etc etc. Police came over 40 times, what do they say 'hi ***** whats going on mate?' and leave. hes just been sent down again for 20 months for GBH and street robbery now the girlfiend is having screaming sex with all his brothers and friends!!!!! He is due out at christmas (with good behaviour ha ha ha ) and it will be a war zone. I am now suing the housing association for not allowing me to live peacefully in my own home.

On a nicer note, my granddaughter arrived on Sat. at 9.54am, a 8lb 1oz bundle of beauty. Chubby cheeks and long dark hair, really pretty like a doll. DIL had been in labour since Thur. so they decided to do an emergency c-section as baby was getting distressed. They should be home today, all being well. Fingers crossed.
Congratulations on the birth of your grand daughter :)
