Just want to say a big thank you RE: the bed wetting and the advice. I must admit it has made me a little upset though because I have done what all suggest. We got her a special bed, character knickers the lot and she was fine. She went 6 months without an accident and then bam, she forgot. She started wetting the bed at night, then sitting in a corner and peeing herself.

She holds it in and then forgets to go. She pees in the car, on the bed, on the sofa, at school, on the carpet, anywhere. And she really stinks with it too. We have had her to the doctors who says the accidents started because of a urine infection. But she's been clear of it for months.

It doesn't help that when she goes down to the sperm donor for visits he slaps her in pull ups 24-7. She has come back this time, bum covered in spots and constantly wanting to wear, and pee and poo, in pull ups.

With 4 other kids the washing machine is on all the time. OH would have to do 5 loads a day to keep up without pull ups.

Even still, with reading all this, what do we do? We keep her in knickers here and she pees 5 times a day. And it stinks. 3volutions all over the house.

    Any advice?!

The bolded part is, to me, extremely concerning. It sounds like your DD would benefit from psychological help in adition to any medical help she may need for urinary infections, but first I think that bolded bit of the text really needs to be addressed...

Morning  Didn't log back on last night as watched a bit of TV after DS's bath time.

Just been sorting out my coupons into A/T/S piles, then one for anywhere. I bought the following A5 wallets for 99p in S in case anyone needs order in their life :rotfl:
    photo-17.jpg
there is a blue (for T), green (for A) and pink (for S, should be orange really)

I got a pack of these in A last week for 75p. I already have some thin long ones from Wilkos, but mum wanted some and these are bigger so swopped her - I have more coupons!

DH went up there for some business thing and they asked him "Do you want some parkin?" and he replied, "No, I flew up from Gatwick, didn't take the car."
(we still don't know what it was... but you are supposed to eat it :eek:)
Hope you have safe travels :)
:rotfl::rotfl: Had to comment on this Laura cello - parkin is fab cake, a bit like jamaican ginger cake/syrup cake. yum yum yum.
I'm hungry as always, just had 5 shortbread biccies dunked into my cup of tea :D

Without wanting to offend I really don't think pull ups are any good, they teach the child it's still ok to wet at night.
I used them with DD1 and she was hardest to get dry, character pants are amazing. Buy their favourite character on pants, don't take little one with you, bring them home wrapped up. Make it really really exciting. Explain Disney Princess/Thomas eg doesn't like wee wee.
Also keep a potty in the room, but not a drink. That way they know they can go at night should they need to.
I really believe it's nappies or pants :):):) xx

One of my friends is about to start potty training her little boy, I got her some of the pull-ups from the glitch but she told me the other day that she's not going to use them.

Having spoken to other mums she's discovered it's better for them to just wear pants as they can 'feel' when they need the loo, where they can't with these pull-ups.

She's decided to just invest in lots of cheapie clothes to keep him dry while he potty trains, hth xx

I'll add my two penneth to potty training :D I've been doing potty training on DS too... and have avoided pull ups like the plague. I think it confuses the child - so we have nappies (which I obv have to put on him) or underpants which he can put on himself. no inbetween and no confusion. It gets my vote
