Finally have caught up, glad to kow that night shifts are good for something......

Now can anyone tell me where I can get enough material to make 150 ft of bunting, have tried freecycle with no success. Will give freecycle another go in the morning but I am now running out of time and it needs to be as cheap as possible. Is there anywhere that sells rags.

What would be ideal would be 2/3 tablecloths and 2/3 double quilt covers in blues. Does anyone know if charity shops sell of these sort of things to the rag man (if they even still exist) it doesn't need to be in great condition just good enough to cut out about 150 triangles..

Sorry for waffling getting very tired, have been sitting here all evening making lists for my dad's birthday party in a couple of weeks and my mother keeps sending me lists of more things she expects me to do!
I have reminded her gently and not so gently that I have 5 brothers and sisters who are all capable of doing their share and as the one who works shift work whose husband works shift work and 3 teenagers at home I probably have less spare time than all the rest..

I have already told her I will do the bunting and nothing else as that will take most of my spare time over the next 10 days...

So anyone, any ideas for the material??

Opps sorry for that, it gained a life of its own and became a rant. Not good for ensuring a nice stress free night shift..

Sleep well all will check back in the morning to see if any bright idea's for sorting out the bunting

i would check in your local charity shop, a friend of mine needed some recently for the scouts fayre to make bunting and she asked in the charity shop if they had any table cloths or bed covers that they had received through donations that were not suitable for re sale, and she was given a huge pile! most were maybe a little threadbare in corners or had a little hole in one place or the buttons were melted!?! lol but they were ideal for making bunting.

  • Ballsed up my asda shop today! Had a scotch that i was sure compared in T's and Asda cheaply. Turns out it was only sainsbobs so missed out on about 12 quid on my APG. Got 15 instead of 26 ish :(

Anyone used an APG after returning an item? It made little difference to what I got and even without it I was well over my required items so conscience is clear doing it, just dunno if I'm gonna get hastled, specially as I used lots of APG's to pay for it.

I reckon you should change your signature and make a new pledge, lesley ;);) You'd get all the support you'd need from the guys on this thread, especially those who have already made that choice - and think of the money you would save:money: :money:
I stopped smoking 14 weeks ago thanks to the advice and supportI heard people on here giving to others that were trying to stop. Never thought I would be able to do it as have smoked for 36 years and I was a heavy smoker, Im not saying it has been easy but I just keep thinking about all the money that I am not waisting on them! :j

    hi

the petrol vouchers are till spits from t's when you buy the items in their promo one of which is cearel.

but check the cereal prices at a's as some are cheaper there so you can get a pp back :)

    ie coco pops 295g is £2.09 in t's and £1 in a's :)
Cheers for that so how many boxes of coco pops do i have to buy to get 50p fuel vouchers?
PS my kids eat coco pops daily :)
