Ebay - buyer who's paid hasn't arranged to get item!

Hi

I've sold an item on Ebay but the buyer, who has paid via Paypal, hasn't been in touch about either collecting it or it being sent by courier etc. I've tried to contact him several times but he hasn't bothered to respond.

I am now unsure what to do and how long I have to legally wait before I can list it again?

Any help much appreciated.

    Have you contacted Ebay?
I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.

Probably best posted on the eBay board however with them paying by PayPal I would say collection by themselves is the last thing you want. What sort of value is the item?

Well they can't open a PayPal dispute after 45 days...

Proceed with caution... if the buyer books their own courier then claims 'goods not received' you will be in a pile of poopy

As he has paid for it, it's not yours to list again. There are laws on this subject. You now need to take care of the item and try to contact them, if you get no response from them you can dispose of the item but the proceeds belong to the owner, less any reasonable cost incurred by you. They have 6 years to claim the proceeds if there is any left.

I believe op would be classed as an 'involuntary bailee'

you could always refund the buyer as item not collected but not sure how you would then sort out FVF with ebay

I don't accept paypal for collection items anyway as you cannot prove the buyer collected!
