Abbey National PA Plan

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me please. About 8 - 9 years ago I was self employed and took out an Abbey National PA (personal accident) Insurance plan. Through various house moves etc I have lost all the details for this and only have a Direct Debit set up on my account for £4.95 a month as any form of reference. I have a basic bank account with Santander but they cannot seem to find any reference to this PA plan.
Does anybody have a contact number for Santander that will get me thro to the correct department so I can find out what is going on with this thing.... All info gratefully received!
Many thanks
Ed

I'm looking forward to the answer to this request as I have the same problem. I have considered stopping the direct debit as this might provoke them to contact me. However there's always a risk that they will 'fine' me for stopping the DD without informing them!0

They wont fine you for stopping the direct debit. However, legally, cancelling the direct debit does not cancel the contract. So, once you are written to by the firm telling you that you have cancelled the d/d then you should contact them to say you want to cancel the policy. Only if you ignore those letters could you find them coming after you potentially as you could end up owing them money that way.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
