Building societies aren't banks. Never have been. That's the nub of the matter.0 -

Kent Reliance is a bank. KRBS stands for Kent Reliance Banking Services.0 -
I have been a "lurker" on this excellent site for several years.
Today, my exasperation with all things Mumbai finally got the better of me, and when they finally deigned to answer my call, my first question was:- "Am I speaking to someone in the UK"
The response was an honest "No". to which I responded "I would like to speak to someone in the UK".
Expecting some resistance, I was taken aback when asked to hold on whilst they transferred me to Head Office!
The person there was most helpful I think, pending receipt of the promised confirmation of recent instructions!
Hope others find this revelation helpful. :T0 -
I opened a Easy Access Savings Account several months ago - no problems whatsoever.
I have only dealt with them online - again no issues.0 -
My list of reported interest payments via HMRC included an item with the name Onesavings which I didn't recognise, but for an amount that I did. From Kent Reliance! It's all here:
