C.R.C. Check on credit file

Hi everyone,
Can someone tell me if a C.R.C check will show up on a credit file, My brother works for virgin media and about 3 yrs ago split with his wife and had left a little bad debt there,
The C.R.C check is being requested by his employer (Virgin Media ) and on the form its ask for 5yrs address and you have to sign and tick a box agreeing that it can be checked with Experian .
Does it show up on his credit file and will the bad debt from his previous life catch up with him if the DCA can read this info ?
