NCP Surrender, and no debt collectors.

Got a ticket in May from NCP at Cuffley train station. Used Ringgo but it hit a glitch and failed to process apparently. That sounds very familiar to many of you and sounds like an inherent fault. Wrote to them and told them its their computer problem, as expected they went for me for the full amount of £50.00. Wrote back to them and told them that despite it being their fault, they were entitled to the parking fee of £5.00 and that's all, and offered to pay by cheque. Also included a statement that if they pursue me I would file a complaint with the Revenue and Excise about how they use the ' pre-estimate of damages to avoid VAT when actually its a penalty/ income and therefore liable to VAT. Also they are not debts and cannot be offset against Tax liabilities. These points will do it everytime. Finished off by informing Jacquie Hutchins that she would have to learn to walk on water before pr she would see a penny from me. I think that you should always write and offer to pay a parking fee, afterall, you did use the facility and then they cannot take you to court for it. And leave them to decide their fate on any other charges. Got a letter back, CLAIM CANCELLED.

What was so unreasonable about expecting JH to walk on water?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

From my point of view, Very. From a PPC point of view, they think they can. End of lesson
