Paypal spoof email, Warning

Hi all, this morning I had an e-mail supposedly from Paypal saying one of my credit cards had been removed for one of three reasons.
Usually they are addressed to 'dear paypal member' or something similar and that's the first sign it's not real, but this one had my full name. I didn't click the link to 'Add cards' in the e-mail but went directly through Paypal and sure enough none of my cards had been removed.

It amazes me when people fall for an email that claims to be from their bank/credit card company etc, saying that all their details have been lost and asking the recipient to upload all their bank/card details.
Obviously a bank wouldn't lose such details without trace, obviously they wouldn't ask a customer to send such details as pins - certainly not by email and by definition, if the customer's details have been lost, how on earth did they receive the email???"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Had this one today myself, using my full name and looking a lot more convincing than the usual offering. Forwarded to spoof@paypal.com0

If its got your name on it then it may have been one of your customers/ sellers.
Maybe get your heads together with a few others and see if there is a link?
I dont think sellers should see my ebay email address. Just a transaction number and my ebay ID.
That would cut down on some of the scams.
I have noticed now i get advertising from some ebay sellers i have used.
Not sure if thats a good thing or not?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
