What are the chances of getting PPI rebate?

Hi

I have had quite a frantic credit history with half a dozen loans and about 5 credit cards over the past 10 years. I have breifly looked in to PPI, to the extent I have gone in to the banks or phoned the credit card companies to ask if i have been misold PPI ? I keep being told no. But from what i hear lots of people have been misold the insurance and are getting refunds.

Should I take the banks and credit card companies word for it (they should tell me the truth as they are regulated) or do they reject claims in the hope they are not followed up.

I dont know if i am being a bit nieve, but i cant believe that for the amount of credit streams i have had in the past 10 years that i have never paid any PPI.

Have you got any statements for these accounts?
The first thing I would do if it was me is send a SAR letter and get your info.
