You're seriously asking that question?
Open a bank account wherever is most convenient to you.
If you've only moved city, and not country, why can't you just carry on using whatever account you have currently?0 -

Was the correct answer you got here not good enough for you?

So open an account with a different bank then.
You may have to specify a "home" branch but it really makes no difference, any branch will be able to handle your enquiries. You may as well specify you home branch as being in Edinburgh for simplicity, but that wont stop you controlling your account from branches in London while you are there.0 -

Just want to understand the situation from "all" angles.

Crikey, how many angles are there?
Just open the account you want and use it. No, there aren't any limits on the number of accounts you can have. No, it doesn't matter where you open the account. It couldn't be more simple.0 -
Any account anywhere convinient for you and what you need is fine
Personally, after having accounts with a lot of banks I prefer Lloyds TSB and Barclays0
