I'm not sure if you can block them, I was just hoping to see if you could, I kept going back to Wonga at the height of my problems because I knew they would lend me.

Maybe if you can it might help people on here as well, was hoping this thread could help them out too.

Of couse you can be 'blocked'/ask not to be contacted you just need to tell the lender, it probably helps if you are a defaulted customer

To my surprise I asked Lending Stream, 247 Moneybox and Payday Express amongst others to do this once I'd paid - these all confirmed I was removed from their mailing lists never heard from since and by the same token, I've never gone back, self resistance, it also helps I now have a job specifically where there is no way telephone verification could be carried out on employers phone no :D thus cutting my credit lines even if I wanted to I cannot! plus now on the insolvency register, a bit dramatic I know! the payday loan industry is totally safe from me! :rotfl:

That is good to know, I don't intend to use a PDL again, I only ever used Wonga and to be fair they were great with setting up a repayment plan, I think its because I was upfront with them and did not make all the excuses of the day.

Either way I think they themselves should legally have to block people who have had several problems with PDL's for their own good and the persons own good, but then again how would they make their money I guess.

Have you tried going into your Internet Settings and adding "wonga.com" to your list of blocked sites? I believe that's possible.

wowwwww i didnt know this was an addiction! youve seen what a rip off these companys are and youve paid em and got out alive,now man up and just dont borrow them again as there are 100s of pdl companys out there you would need to block.

Once again I will reiterate the point of I havn't felt the need to go back to them but I would still not want to have the option even if it was only for £10. I also thought if you can get blocked it may help others on here to know about this so they don't fall back into the trap, I sorted my finances out and I am happy with myself for doing that.
