Hello MSE people, me and my friend was hit by a reversing Marks &Spencer lorry on Thursday morning around 2 o'clock in Camden Town. Luckily we are alive but I've problems with my leg and my friend has some problems on shoulder , back, arm and leg. It's a serious accident. We were crossing the road after being advised by a police officer and we were hit by reversing lorry. How, with which company you advice? We have no idea what to do? Thanks

Have you gone to hospital?
Was the lorry beeping as it was reversing?
Problems?
Slight bruises, or bones sticking out?0 -
The company I would recommend would be the National Health Service. You are asking for help with your injuries aren't you, not just out for some compo?0

What did the police say when they attended?
I find it hard to believe that a lorry can hit two pedestrians and then no arrangements were made for ongoing treatment, care and insurance. VERY hard to believe.
I'm surprised an 'ambulance chaser' hasn't caught up with you by now.
What advice are you actually looking for?:hello:0 -
Did you not see the lorry? it must have been reversing really fast to hit two people.0

so were you discharged from hospital straight away ? you posted the question 10 hrs after the accident happening, how serious were your injuries ? were no details exchanged ? if its compo you are after -plenty of ads on the tv.........0

My grandpa was hit by a vehicle, he was unable to get compensation (the reason we looked into it was it forced us to put my grandmother into a nursing home as he was her carer and his accident cost our family £30k). His injuries sound a bit more severe, what with being on a vent in ICU for well over a month. The reason was despite evidence there was no witness desoite forensics and working out the direction etc. Were you both HIT by the lorry or bumped by the lorry? I would avoid the tv ambulance chaser companies, they are like the Americans going after anyone for a bruise or sprain. If you injuries are long last/serious and the lorry driver was doing something wrong then get a solicitorBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

The police officer told you to cross the road and you were hit by a lorry.
At 2am, had you been drinking.
Lorries have audible warning signs when they are reversing.
I find the whole thing very hard to believe to be honest.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

compo? what compo?0 -
Why do people want compo for everything these days? If I had been hit by a lorry, I would be thankful I was alive and well enough to post a few hours after.
I could have claimed "compo" from the NHS - not once, but twice, but I didn't, partly because I see no point in an an already stretched underfunded free health service having to pay out, partly because to err is human, and finally because, in the first case I was pleased I was alive, and in the second place, that my son was alive, despite having to be in intensive care due to their mistake.
I would concentrate on getting better - it is hard to believe a reversing lorry that came out of nowhere at 2 am could cause so much damage, particularly at the reduced speed they go at, and the loud annoying beeping they have to warn people, which, at 2am, would have seemed even louder!“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0
