  • I think it's supposed to be one.

I opened a second one recently which appears to have caused havoc with my online banking (which they've still to resolve after 10+ weeks).

When I spoke to Halifax they said it was because a customer is only supposed to have 1 card.

I have two Halifax credit cards and a debit card which I use all the time, never had anyone from the Halifax question or refuse any transactions.

The bank's guidance is that only one per customer - that said though some people do have two of the 'older' cards that are based on the old HBoS systems i.e. the One Card but these are typically cards issued prior to Sept '11. New applicants are only permitted the single card but you can change the card if you call them.

A friend recently got his One card converted to Clarity but he had to speak with Customer Loyalty to do this - he was initially rejected by the servicing consultant.

    Hi

I currently own the halifax all in one credit card

And I wanted to know if you can own the balance transfer crd at the same time if I was to apply?

(I ask as if you want to apply for the one card online then it stipulates that you should not own a halifax card, but looking at the balance transfer card there is not criteria that has this)

I am trying to find out as I wouldn't want to waste a credit search, if anyone knows?

    Thanks
