Looking to open a uk current account

Hi there, does anyone know the best uk banks to open current accounts, I have been with the Clydesdale basic bank account for two years, and they have declined me for a current account.

I have a wage of £3000 per month into my account, I am not a homeowner, but I dont have defaults or ccj,s, but I do not have a lot of credit, just a small credit card, and mobile contract.

My credit score with Experian. & call credit, is just under 700, although I know this is not exactly how the bank will score it

Many Thanks

Head into the mainstream banks. Halifax, Santander, Natwest. I'm very sure they will snap you up :)

Do your research beforehand though, with halifax you would get an extra £5 a month when you pay in £1000. Thought with Santander 123 current account you would get a bit more if you keep money in there and have all your DD's coming out of there.

    Good luck

Why limit yourself to those? Some of them have poor service records...

Judging by some of your previous posts, you could still face difficulties with most current accounts. Best perhaps to continue with your Basic Account for a bit longer? Your existing bank will without doubt have their own records about you and might largely ignore the CRAs. Did you actually confirm all the negative markers have been removed from all your credit files?

And get on the Electoral Roll.

.....was not on the voters roll............
