IVA problems

Hi all just looking for some advice really I have had my IVA since March 2007 and it is due to finish in Feb 2013. My partner left me at xmas and because it took a while to sort out my tax credits etc I could not afford to pay my IVA for 6mths I have now started paying again and am supposed to be sending my documents in to enable them to go back to my creidtors to ask them to extend my payments by 6mths my problem I have now is that my company has just decided to put us all on to shift work and being a single mum to 3 children there is no way I can work 6-2 or 2-10 so I have had to hand my notice in. I've tried calling yesterday and today and left messages but not had a call back but also received a letter today saying if havent had my wages slips, bank statements etc in 7days they will go down the route of railing my IVA which I really dont want to happen so close to the end. Trouble is no though from next month my incomings and outgoings are all going to change

Have a good look through your IVA papers / proposals

Keep trying to contact your IVA company as they should be helping after all they have probably had thousands in fees out of your arrangement.

I would have thought if the IVA might fail due to you not being able to maintain payments then with the amount you have paid in then maybe a full and final settlement could be an option

From what you have put it looks like the term of the IVA is 6 years (unless this is something to do with the 6 month payment break) which suggests a property may involved

Not easy to help you with the limited information you have put so far and the terms of your actual IVA will be the determining factor.

I dont normally do this (see below) but I can imagine what you are going through as I see this type of enquiry almost every day now (IVAs are becoming somewhat of a disaster zone in my opinion).

Anyway following on from the above - there is another forum that specialises in IVAs and perhaps if you put up your enquiry on there as well as here with all the information someone will respond quickly - there is a top notch qualified lady IP on there (in my opinion) who posts on a regular basis who might be able to help or push your enquiry. - sorry I dont think I can put up the link to the other forum or name the IP on here which is fair enough.

Hope this post is OK with the mods on here (I had to go and sit down in quiet corner for a while after feeling a little faint as a result of actually posting it)
