tuxedo pre pay card

Sounds too good to be true! So i load the card with my money then once its gone its gone? Do i get a charge on it? What if i have an odd amount like £2.20 left on it can i get it back? Sorry for the questions seems very simple, i ask because top cash back are offering £7 something when you get one and i think it will help me keep a better eye on my "pocket money " many thanks x

Tuxedo is bad value at £9.95 for the card and 2.95% (min 50p) for U.K. and abroad P.O.S. transactions. If you want free P.O.S. transactions there's a £4.95 monthly fee.

Compare that with Kalixa at £6.95 for the card, no monthly fee and free P.O.S. transaction in UK and abroad. You also get contactless Tap & Go.

But if you are going to do a lot of ATM withdrawals the Tuxedo card on the pay monthly option at 50p per withdrawal might be a better deal.

It pays to shop around. Have a look at the prepaid card section at moneysupermarket.com

Yes you load prepaid cards with money and you are good to go for spending. The exception is that prepaid cards are not good where an advanced authorisation is required - hotels, petrol, car hire.
  • Thankyou for your kind reply. will check out money supermarket , have a lovely forth coming weekend x
