Chester boat River Dee trips

Having lived near Chester for 25 years and being a very regular visitor to the city, I keep saying we should do one of the river trips. I know there's a 30 mn and a 2hr one - not looking at the evening party trips. Has anybody done either of these? Any recommendations?
It's my birthday on the Sunday of BH weekend in August so thinking of dropping some unsubtle hints to hubby about a river trip followed by a meal somewhere
