Electricity meter replacement-WHY

Is this also applicable in scotland?
the meter I have has a 25 year cert - and has to be a bit beyond that.
Hmm.
I vaguely recall it being checked for accuracy 15 years or so ago. I wonder if that may have reset a clock in some manner.0 -

Yes, there are some extra rules regarding some processes for the old Scottish networks but I've never heard of it for recerts. I think the differences are more about transmission, I've never seen a difference in settlement or site interaction/metering from a supplier point of view.
Your supplier knows your recert date as its included in the metet details data flow issued when you switch or if a new meter is fitted. Why not ask?
The meter life sometimes gets updated in Schedule 4 in which case the suppliers Meter Operator makes the update and sends it to the supplier.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for all your replys and useful info, I am probably just a bit to suspicious for my own good. New meter arriving on Sat.
