Cheap camera - best of the bunch?

Options
Hi,

Daughter going to USA for school trip on Wednesday. She needs a camera.

Are there any decent ones here?

Or, would it be better to buy at the airport - the only thing about that is that they may not be allowed to wander.

Thanks.

The Vivitar V3105S 3MP Digital Camera is good value. and cheap.
so if she looses it or its stolen it aint the end of the world.

    ps,
airport shops are rarely good value for money for items like cameras etc.
she could also take a disposable camera for back up?
my daughter took half a dozen with her to a new york usa, uni trip.

That Vivitar does look fine for your daughter, uses AAA batteries too

    Don't forget a memory card - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5700903.htm
(big enough for about 500 photos)

    And lots of batteries!
  • Yeah, you could probably get a better camera cheaper, but only if you could wait for delivery. I'd reckon she'll mainly be taking pictures in daylight anyway? And good cameras mainly show their quality in low light levels. Even my phone takes great pictures in daylight.
  • Thanks. I'll pick one up in Argos tomorrow with a memory card and batteries :)
