Price Promise, wrong rate and comparison site problems.
Right so we're at the end of our Price Promise October 2012, had letter through stating we'd go on to their Standard Rate (with British Gas).
We have a low rate of 14.317 / 11.094 for Electric, Gas is 4.942 / 2.665.
The problem I have is when using the various comparison sites the "Price Promise October 2012" rate is far higher than what we're currently on? One rep seemed to think we were on a wrong rate which was some how fixed in the Promise.
The problem is then I can't get a fair assessment on which supplier is the cheapest?
If I ignore the fact our actual rate is different to that of Price Promise and just do a normal search based on a years supply of elec/gas Scottish Power seem to be the cheapest but only just...some say £20-25 a year cheaper and the majority are more expensive.
Anyone recently changed and know what rates or tiers you're currently paying? Has ScottishPower been the cheapest for you?
Thanks for any input.
