I sprinkled Tesco parmesan cheese (in date) across a rather cheeky pasta dish I had created.
That was mouldy too

Have you got the receipt and all the packaging? Some people do buy food, leave it in unsuitable storage conditions and then complain that it has gone off. Not saying that you have done this, but you can understand where the shop is coming from.
If they refuse refunds, then contact the environmental health department. If there is a problem at the shop or the (2 packs of cheese really should not have mould growing in them) then appropriate action can be taken.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -
why not chop off the mouldy bit and eat the rest?0

Could the mould not be seen when you brought them?0

The co-op are normally really good at refunding - have you rung the care number on the pack ? (or on yur membership card ?)Sealed pot challenge 822

22nd of April...I opened them only 1 hour after buying them, and they both contained mould!!!
I want back there today, and I checked that every single packet (17/18) contains mould!!!
Surly, this can't be good for anyone's Health??? I think the Environmental Health Department need to take a look, before someone get's ill!!!
If I report this matter to the EHD could the Co-op ban me from their store?
Many Thanks0 -
My local Co-op regularly has out of date stock in the chiller cabinet. Next time I spot anything I'm reporting them to Environmental Health as I'm sick and tired of telling the manager/staff.
One time every single yoghurt was out of date. To be honest the chiller cabinet never feels cold enough and if it's the same in your local store that could be why all the cheese is mouldy.0 -

Actually good quality cheese always has some mould from it's maturing stage, it will not do anyone any harm, as others have suggested, if you don't like the look of it, cut it off.
The trouble is these days, we all live in a plastic wrapped culture, and expect everything to look pristine. In the days when cheese was cut from the block, almost all cuts had some outer mould growth, and tasted far better.0 -
