Is there anywhere else I can apply for a grant towards a mobility car

We currently have a standard mobility car (no adaptions at all) my husband has had 1 leg amputated just below the knee so used the other leg to transfer to the seat. He has gangrene in the other foot now and the hospital have said they want to amputate that 1 below the knee too but have agreed it can be postponed until the 18th as we have been on our 1st holiday in 6 year.
We now need to change our current car for a WAV so he can ride his electric wheelchair straight into the back but are looking at an paying about £4000 which we don't have, we have phoned motaility about a grant and waiting on the paperwork to fill in but was wondering if there is anywhere else we can apply to.
Any help would be grateful.
Update: His foot got a lot worse very quickly, Friday (24 hours before we were to go on holiday) they had to admit him to hospital.

I applied for a motability grant and was successful - I heard the outcome within a couple months of applying. I hope you get the same response as me!
