Hi has anyone done/had done a modification on the renault espace clutch master cylinder,as in inserting a bleed nipple(similar) so that it stops it being a sealed use once system?

Are you sure you don't mean the slave cylinder? I've never come across a master cylinder with a bleed nipple.
Ask you local motor factors / euro car parts / gsf / eBay about throttle cables.0 -

Puzzled. How do you fit a slave that you cannot bleed?
Not seen any issues with fitting these. But thats probably not surprising when the renault forums call the master cylinder a slave??Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

yep renault have cunningly devised a hydraulic clutch system that you cannot bleed,
need to know if it is poss/been done, where you fit a bleed nipple somwhere in the systemI

I've also never heard of a non-bleedable hydraulic system. How do you ever get the air out?
Anyway, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to drill the slave and fit a bleed nipple. Just make sure you drill into the chamber at a point the piston never reaches, and try to get the hole as close to the top (when fitted) as possible - air likes to go up. If you had a scrap slave kicking about (or find one at the scrappy) you could take it apart and work out the best position for the bleed nipple.0 -
I seem to remember our Iveco van uses the same system (think it's Renult parts too) New item comes as one bit, master, slave & pipe all filled with fluid and strapped up to stop pistons moving.
You fit it as one assembly (easy, it just clips into place) cut the strap and away to go0 -
When you attach the pipe it will have air in it though, wont it?
I have never managed to separate 2 pipes and not let air in.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
not if it is a complete part probably assembled in a bath of fluid.forgotmyname wrote: »When you attach the pipe it will have air in it though, wont it?
