Any body got any ideas of price for skimming walls of a hall stairs and landing???
We are currentl;y stripping abut 4 layers of wallpaper off them including half woodchip and the walls underneath are not great.Don't want to go back to lining paper as it can get tatty in a hall and stairway,so just want to get them skimmed and repainted.
The hallway and landing are about 9ft square and the stairway is a U shape. We have around about 9 walls or part thereof to do??
Any advice greatly appreciated

I had my fairly large hall, stairs and landing done and it was about £350. This included the ceiling being done and all the plaster etc.
It took 2 guys a day to do it.0 -

I am thinking about getting some skimming done as well but not had any quotes as yet. Can anyone tell me if there is an avarage price say per metre for skimming ? Then I will know if its a fair quote.
Maybe Nelly could shead some light on it"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
There is no price per meter when quoting for tenanted properties.
Generally you would get a price per meter on new build work.
Most will work there quote out on time taken to do the job.
There again you will always get the chancer quoting as much as he can get away with.0 -
get a few quotes as prices vary considerably. for skimming our dining room 12x7m we've been quoted from £180 upto £340
good luck with your project!0
