Help with Travel from Peckham to Olympic Stadium on Sat 4th Aug

HELP

We are going to see the Athletics on Saturday and are staying with friends who are in Peckham .

What is going to be the best way for us to get to the Stadium? We have to be at the park for 7.30 am

I have looked on the London 2012 website to do a route planner which seems to involve lots of bus travel . I am terrified of not getting off at the right spot etc.

Any help of tips would be fab

Many Thanks

Take the tube you should have got a free travel pass with your tickets. Your friends who live in Peckham will surely know the route. You should be fine that time in the morning on a Saturday.

Get a train to London Bridge from Queens Road Peckam railway station, then use the Jubilee line to Stratford.

The TfL website tends to try to make you use lots of buses! You may need to get a bus from Peckham Rye if you don't fancy the walk to Queens road but there are several that serve the route especially if you walk to Peckham high street (5 mins away)

    Have a lovely day!

Go into the' more options' bit of the journey planner and deselect buses and see what it suggests

Lol no tubes in that part of London
  • You can get a train to London Bridge from Peckham Rye station rather than having to go to Queens Road Peckham. 10 minutes to London Bridge, then on the Jubilee line (right at the bottom of the escalators ) to Stratford. Should take you about 30-35 minutes! If you need a bus to Peckham Rye station, loads go past there just check your nearest bus stop
