PPI Reclaim or not?

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum & would appreciate some advice please.
I took out PPI with my mortgage 10yrs ago (can't remember if i was mis-sold). I have since switched mortgage providers but have continued to pay the PPI with the original lender.
My current employment status is looking a bit ropey at the moment with my company going through a difficult patch like many others.
Should I try to reclaim my PPI with the knowledge that I may actually need the protection in the not-to-distance future if the company doesn't pull through?
Would reclaiming effect my cover etc?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

It would affect your cover in that you wouldn't have any!Would reclaiming effect my cover etc?
Not to put too fine a point on it, why are you even considering trying to complain of mis-selling when the product in question is likely to be needed in the near future?
What reasons would you even give for mis-selling?0 -
Hi this is my first time on a forum and hope someone can guide me to the right place to hopefully make a claim.
I took four loans out around 1995, with these loans all from Welcome Finance PPI was mis sold to me..... I was on hard times and a single mother, however I have just tried to speak to a company who deals with PPI's that have been mis sold.... they said that Welcome Finance are not accepting any responsibility for PPI being mis sold to any of their previous customers before 2005.... this is so unfair... is there anyone I can contact please? Your help would be appreciated.0 -

You need to start a thread of your own to avoid confusion because no one would know who is answering who.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

as McKneff said as this avoids confusion.
If you need to know anything else then post on the link I gave.
You don't need a claims co, contact Welcome and do the claim direct to them and they will deal with this, use the Single Premium reason for mis sell, the full costs and unfair rebates of this PPI were not fully explained to you at the point of sale for you to make an informed decision regarding this PPI otherwise you would not have taken this.0
