Unoccupied House Insurance

I am the executor of an estate and am in the process of obtaining probate. The house and contents insurance are with Natwest, but has anyone any thoughts about the insurance as the property is empty. Most of contents are gone and the water is turned off, doors and windows locked and the property is visited several times a week. Just checked the policy and the rebuilding costs are way too low, anyway. Their t's&c's state that if property is left for more than 60 days they will not pay up for pipe bursts and vandalism, but the other risks are covered. Someone suggested telling the police, but is this a goer? any advice please.

Sounds fairly standard for unoccupied buildings - what are you seeking advice on?
If the sum insured is low you should definitely correct this.
Not sure why/what you would tell the police.0
