Hello.
I'm currently in dispute, with a professional body acting on my behalf, overa sum of money which should have been placed in a savings account to earn interest.Unfortunately, it was not and I am now trying to find out what I should haveearned, from May 2008 to May 2012.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Which interest rates are you interested in finding?

The funds were being held by a solicitor, who was supposed to arrange for them to be placed into a high interest account while a court case was proceeding. They held the funds from early 2009 to May 2012 in their client account, where it did not earn any interest. They have have offered a fraction of what I feel we could have earned.
I need to find a way of calculating this figure, based on a couple of examples of historical savings account rates. the bank/building society does not matter too much.0 -
Take a look at this:

I cannot vouch for the validity of the source/site, although the figures look reasonable (imho).

One other source might be Investec's high-5 account. It tracks the rate of the top 5 accounts, and they have published those records weekly.

That would be instant-access or notice rather than fixed-term, but would at least give a lower bound.0
