solar energy accessories

I am looking for a device that will switch on a 1000w heater when my 2.6kw array churns out in excess of 1000w. Why, so that I can maximise the free generation.
There are plenty of devices that do the reverse, ie switch on my night lights when the sun goes down. Why not when the sun comes up?
Can anyone help

Have you tried Maplin? Ask in-store if you can as they will be able to advise, I am sure they will have some method of reversing it.

You could reverse the action of a dawn till dusk switch by way of a 240v single pole, double throw relay, not recommend if you're not an electrician, personally I'd go with a digital time switch set appropriately as you can factor in allowance for when light is sufficient to generate power..

I'm using his idea to power my 1kw immersion with great results!
You could use it for your heater with no problem.
