Hi there

Medicash comes out top as insurance for healthcare cash plans. I am currently with SimplyHealth. Does anyone use Medicash and are you using the special offer on their gym memberships? I read about the offer but can't work out which gyms they offer and how much of a discount. Is it easy to claim?

I REALLY hope that you have not brought a medicash policy or switched from a secure policy to the Medicash !! I did because i believed that i was getting better cover for less money........ and i was for while. BUT THEN I claimed when i had physio, was an inpatient and i also claimed for help with my glasses. All items i was supposed to be able to claim for in a contributory year. After all isn't that why you buy a policy like this?? doesn't the policy states you can claim????

BUT in truth MEDICASH mean they want your money and you can stay a client AS LONG as you don't claim !! MEDIASH sent me a letter saying that they had cancelled my policy as i had claimed too much!!

I still can not believe that they have done this to me!! after all doesn't the provider set the limits??? BUT their actions mean that i am now unable to get the policy like this as I must declare that my policy was been closed because i claimed too much.
I wasn't being greedy I only claimed because i had brought the cover to assist me if i ever needed help with these costs. I feel totally let down! I am not a vindictive person . I have no reasons to bad mouth anyone. GIVE THEM A WIDE BIRTH. or you may end up like me!!!

I'm a member of medicash and have found them great to be honest. Never had a problem having claims paid and their plans seem better than others. I swapped from simply health as it was a better plan (as discovered on here)and the service is better too as claims seem to be paid quicker. No problems so far for me

Also looking at Medicash and noticed Medicash Extras.
Can anyone tell us all the details.

For example says get money off with supermarkets.
What kind of hoops so you have to go through for this?
How much is it worth?
Which gyms and discount?
Which restaurants and discount?
Do you have to accumulate points first?
