A lot of what we will have next week will depend on what we have leftover from tomorrow's party (my birthday, having a few friends around and they have all been asked to bring a few bits to contribute). So this week I shall be unable to plan, however here are a few random ideas on possible meals, given what we have in stock:

The usual breakfasts of eggs, toast, porridge, yogurt, nuts etc...

The usual lunches of mixed salads with cheese, tuna or egg (if not eaten at breakfast). Bread as well for the twins.

    Possible dinners:
    - Marrow stuffed with vege mince, onion and tomatoes, greens, potatoes for the family.
    - Chick pea curry with random vegetables, rice for the family.
    - Fish in tomato sauce, mixed salad, bread for the family.
    - Cauliflower cheese and fried peppers (with couscous for the family)
    - Crustless vege quiche with any vegetables available, sauteed radish greens. Potatoes for the family.
    - Vege toad in the hole, roasted vegetables (and potatoes for the family), tomato salad.

Might turn up completely different as I might have tons of leftovers, someone promised me a quiche and someone else a few trays of pakoras, so that's what we might be eating for the week! Also DH's cousin who is a regular 3-night-per-week guest here usually treats us to an Indian meal occasionally to thank us for letting him stay, so we might get one of those next week.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Hi everyone, all the meal plans look especially good this week!!

    Breakfasts - cereal as usual
Lunches - tuna sandwiches/pot noodle/beans on toast for OH, HM soup and HM bread for me. Not decided on soup flavour yet but might be minestrone!
Snacks - apples and bananas for me, crisps for OH, plus will make scones and/or cookies
    Dinners -
Tomorrow - roast beef with yorkies (first time making so I'm nervous!), roasties, carrots, green beans and gravy

A "lentils in a sauce" dish from Madhur Jaffrey's "World Vegetarian" which is lovely, with Greek yoghurt if we have any left, plus HM bread and salad

HM breaded haddock for me, steak for OH with peas and HM chips

Roasted vegetable arrabiata courtesy of the OH, with salad

Mac and cheese with broccoli and salad

Chicken kebabs from "The Takeaway Secret" on Friday night with HM pitta and salad

Plus one night left free in case we go out, if OH goes out there's a single portion of veg curry for me in the freezer and if I go out OH can have a YS steak pie from the freezer. If not, we can have leftovers or make stir fry/veg curry as a fridge clearer.

Joining a bit late but need to get back into the meal planning in a hope to get my shopping budget back in control:eek:.

Mon - Toad in hole, mini roasties, carrots, brocolli and onion gravy

Tue - Bacon & egg rolls (quick tea as daughters karate lesson)

Wed - Pork steak, potatoes, carrots, peas, brocolli & gravy

Thur - HM Lasagna (with hidden veggies;)), peas, sweetcorn & HM garlic bread

Fri - HM burgers & french fries

Sat - Picnic lunch at races, Pasta Cabonnara

    Sun - Roast Chicken dinner

Mon - Rubber chicken Curry & EF Rice

Tue - Sausage, egg, potatoes and beans

    Wed - BBQ chicken & stir-fry noodles/veg

Thur - HM Pizza & Salad

Days may get switched around but main ingredients in freezer just top up of milk, fruit and veg needed.

Cereal and/or toast for breakfast. Sandwich or pasta salad type things for lunch. Snacks HM fairy cakes (keeps girls busy), crackers, carrot/cucumber sticks & dips, fruit. Will also make flapjacks, cookies and cheese scones with girls tomorrow afternoon. They seem to be constantly hungry at the moment so homemade snacks are the way to go.
