Mealplans WB 4 August

August! Where has this year gone??

Its a bit early maybe but I hope no one minds me putting up the thread. OH is seeing a big income drop this month so need to have my act together.

Thanks everyone for the steak suggestions, very helpful and will get them on a mealplan soon!

I'm going to do a bit of a rubber tomato sauce week, making a big vat as they are in season here and very cheap, and stretching it to several meals.

Friday: having people over so attempting challa bread, spiced carrot and lentil soup, roast vegetable lasagne (tom sauce!), caprese salad and apple crumble for desert.
Saturday: out for a friend's leaving 'do
Sunday: challa french toast for breakfast (om nom nom), for tea spaghetti and meatballs, plain sauce for veggie roommie
Monday: leftover soup
Tuesday: meatball sarnies
Thursday: will let roommie cook

Hi guys, this is what we're having next week. Breakfast and lunch are as usual.

Sat - quiche and salad for lunch, I have left OH's on a plate for him and am taking mine with me as I have work, but now only till lunchtime so am going shopping straight after. I figured I could wait till I get into town and get lunch somewhere, thereby wasting time and at least a fiver, or I can take my share of that and have it on the way to town and not waste any time or money! Or food! Curry and rice for tea after we get back from the cinema in the evening, a rare treat out to see Batman.

Sun - soup for lunch, then OH's parents for tea and hopefully more decluttering of his room there.

Mon - chicken pie, mash and beans

    Tue - Spanish chicken pasta

Wed - fish curry and rice

Thur - quiche and salad again, OH is away so I will have the extra for lunch on...

Fri - 3-bean chilli and garlic bread, might change though depending if I can be bothered making it

Sat - boiled eggs and soldiers lunch. Tea, not sure, fancy something Chinese-y. Also plan to make some triple chocolate brownies.

Sun - something with oven chips and peas for lunch, then bacon & tomato pasta for tea.

Morning everyone. Hope all well. My mealplan is now finalised and here it is:

Sat: Chicken & bacon pie with mash, carrots and more sauce for dipping veggies into ... yum.
    Sun: Leftover Pie with chips
    Mon: Enchiladas
Tues: Sweet & Sour Pork with Noodles
Weds: Not sure, as Mum will be providing tea :) Bless her!
Thurs: Chicken Supreme in a giant Yorkshire pud with veggies
    Fri: Pasta Bolognese
    Sat: Pork Balti with Rice
Sun: Moussaka & garlic bread and toad in the hole (already made freezer meals)

Cool, mealplan is done and now got to write up the shopping list. While the oven is on I'll be doing a spot of biscuit tin baking to make full use of the oven and (possibly) some chocolate brownies to take in to work... mmm Otherwise there is fruit for snacking and cereal for breakfast.

    Have a good week everyone.

    K xx
