in Credit cards
Hello,
This is probably a bit stupid but ...
I am applying for my first credit card in a long time. I am looking for a balance transfer card to speed up the paying of my husbands cards. Then we do the debt free dance!! Anyway I have just got a copy of my credit file and it is all positive with my old cards satisfied and closed. However my husbands credit cards do not feature anywhere on my report other than the linked names section where it is briefly mentioned. I had assumed that the accounts were joint but I must just be a second card holder.
Now as I am applying for a credit card in my own name - and not joint - do I need to list all my second card holder accounts in the card application or just list the one I am hoping to balance transfer from?
Thanks!

I just hope your husbands credit history is excellent As they will check his credit report as well when you apply for the B/T.0

That's correct. There is no such thing as a joint credit card account. The account holder is always liable for the whole balance. However my husbands credit cards do not feature anywhere on my report other than the linked names section where it is briefly mentioned. Thank you for the replies. I went for it. Was accepted and now was given a large enough limit to transfer everything. God this going to save months off the debt free date and save so much in interest! :jSome how I missed that credit cards is only to a single person. I had no idea it was all in his name only! (hmm will be in my name soon gulp!)0
