Morning ladies (and halight),
beautiful sunny day here, i was late waking up this morning. I had a sudden spurt of energy at around midnight last night which i utilized by doing bits and peices in the kitchen. At 1am i was cleaning my fridge and my cooker soon after.
Ive done my usual bits and peices in the garden, the plants are doing well and thriving..... well all but the peppers. I dont think we will be growing any next year as they didnt do well last year either.
Jobs for today include...
Checking my finances. The bills went out of my account yesterday (all except the council tax). I need to know how much i'm left with.
Windows, well i never got round to doing them yesterday. Its a mammoth job when your only 5ft tall and dont like heights. My son is pretty helpful though (i just dont like asking him for help).
Phone Eon about changing my tariff (another job ive been putting off) but ive got 11 days till they put me on a dearer tariff.
I need to do some maintenance on my pc. Every so often i like to transfer the pictures i take on my phone onto photobucket (and i do take loads). Pictures that mean nothing to anyone else but mean the world to me.
Anyway, i'm waffling. Have a lovely birthday Pink and wishing you all a good day too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all
Happy Birthday to Pink!
Well done halight for tidying up that ladies garden and chatting to her.
Yes raining here too now-it was dry when I got up so I did a load of washing -hope it clears up but it is sunny too in between showers.
I am tired today after the foodbank session so not going anywhere atm. Bit of cleaning and vacuuming to do, washing to put away, bathroom to clean and floors to wash.
Tea is hunter's chicken with frozen green beans and frozen roasties. That what OH fancies and he took the chicken and bacon out of the freezer before he went to work. I fancy some ice cream as I was watching Poirot last night and the the ads were for ice-cream as the gold cart were sponsoring the drama! But were are running the freezer down and I have promised not to put anything in it!
OH has been told his dept is definately closing now, in spite of being taken off risk recently. Probably early part of next year. They may lose people early to vr if the work declines along the way. OH wants to be in the front of the queue. LOL!
Well hugs and kind thoughts to all those in need.
Have a good day.

Morning All,
Didn't manage to post or read yesterday so hope you are all well.
Went to my new morning WW meeting this morning and another 1.5 off so 12.5 in total and just another 1.5 pound to a stone (again:cool:) but feeling positive at the mo and doing lots of walking which really helps.
We have reduced the house price in the hopes of speeding things up and the mortgage company have agreed to extend the early repayment offer so fingers crossed something happens soon.
Have 6 ebay packages to post this afternoon and quite a few more bits to list.
Also managed to iron a few bits this morning as well.
Had a long talk with my best friend this morning who is struggling at the moment, hopefully she is feeling more positive.
I am loving the olympics, don't know what I did before. We haven't watched any normal tv for ages.
DH and DS3 at football tonight so probably a quick sandwhch for tea for them.
I will be having Jacket potato, chicken kiev and salad, yumm.
Bit overcast at the momnt but at least it's not raining. Enjoy your day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Hi all
Hoppy Birdday Pink:beer:
Halight what a nice chap you are to put in the time and effort to make an elderly lady's life as bit better.
I can confirm that isolation is awful - very often I don't see or speak to anyone other than Mr LW for days on end; thank goodness for the Old Style board!:D
We were out yesterday, however; and today I'm so exhausted I could cry - if I had the strength.
I'm supposed to make a pizza for dins, but just making a sandwich for my lunch left me literally shaking with exhaustion, so I'm not sure I can manage to do the pizza. I'll give it til about 14:30 and see how I am by then, I think. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Busy day in work, admin this morning and off to a colleagues' presentation this afternoon. Popped to home bargains after work to get some cards, friends little one is 1 tomorrow and a wedding on weekend. No plans tonight apart from a Skype chat with a friend later.

Evening all!
What a non-stop day, have flea-fogged the entire house, hoovered like a demon, stripped beds, washed multiple loads, done a tip run with all the duvets and pillows just in case, had a quick shower and then went out for a lovely dinner with mum, uncle and aunt, they go home to NZ on Tuesday. So much for days off being for a rest, but hopefully the cat and house will be flea free now!
Having a wee glass of wine then will be off to bed, hopefully other than ironing a mountain and some shopping will have a slower day today, will be cheaper at any rate as I spent a fortune on duvets, pillows and flea killing gunk today!RIP Iain

hugs to all
Actually managed a home made meal for the second day in a row, though just frozen moroccan burgers with Remoska potatoes and mixed veg. Managed to organise some washing and ironing as well in between entertaining little bear. Lego happened.
On Monday little bear has his first day of his three day martial arts summer camp. I have to present him, 9am sharp, at a unit in an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere, also I have to get there by bus. No bus goes anywhere nearer than a route march away. I am doing a dry run tomorrow. Little bear is at the school holiday club tomorrow. He insists.
Little bear will be taking a packed lunch to the martial arts camp, which is run by someone who is not only a qualified instructor but also a qualified nutritionist. I am feeling a bit challenged. Jam butties will be a bit inadequate so I will be researching.
Jools - when we had fleas we plugged in a night light into a socket, one of those little ones that are just for a plug socket, and put a saucer of water and washing up liquid underneath. The fleas were attracted to the light at night, jumped towards it, fell in the water which had less surface tension due to washing up liquid so they drowned. Hopefully you won't need this information, but it may be a way of checking. Good luck.
Tonight went downstairs to change over washing and found evil cat on the table trying to steal some cooked peas. She is so old and frail, I let her.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
