Why do RBS still use old Visa logo's ?

Not really about money saving just always bugged me. Why do RBS still have the old Visa "box" logo on their cards, and still issue their cards with this logo, even although 95% of banks and credit cards come with the new Visa logo ?

They have the new logo on their Private Card, but for some reason think "lets not put the new logo on our Personal cards, just Private cards. Any new Visa card has the "word" logo, why do RBS still use the box ? Again sorry, but its always intrigued me.

They are not "old" and "new"

FYI, my RBS, NW, LTSB and Barclays.es debit cards all have this logo http://www.rbs.co.uk/microsites/welcome-packs/img/content/RBS_Debit-Card_Revolve_Select_SelectSilver_RoyaltiesGold.jpg

My RBS credit card has a.n.other different logo with a blue stripe above VISA and yellow stripe below.

The only old logo is the Visa flag style:

    Visa_Flag_150.gif

It's been fully phased out and won't appear on any cards anymore. The new logo can have a transparent back or be in a white box it's up to the issuer.

Same as Nationwide. Their standard credit card has the white box, the platinum Select card does not.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
